The conditional release of the director of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Najeh Bkeirat
The Israeli Magistrate court released on Sunday afternoon the director of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Najeh Bkeirat, after preventing him from travelling abroad for three months and seized his passport and mobile phone. The court also ordered him to pay a bail of 25 thousand NIS, while the decision of preventing him from entering Al-Aqsa since last March and for six months is still valid until the 3rd of September, 2013. The police had arrested him on the 11th of June in Ben Gurion airport as he was coming back from Medina through Turkey after performing Umrah in Mecca. He was detained in solitary confinement for two weeks in Al-Maskobyeh.
