Sentencing two Jerusalemite children for actual imprisonment

The District court sentenced on Wednesday two Jerusalemite children for actual imprisonment of 9 months and 6 months. Amjad Abu Asab, director of Jerusalemites detainees and prisoners families committee, said that the District court sentenced the 14-year old child Laith Jamal Husseini for actual imprisonment of 9 months after he was found guilty of throwing stones and empty bottles. Laith is a student in the 9th grade in Al-Hayat School in Jerusalem and is currently detained in “Hasharon” prison. The court also sentenced 16-year old Mohammad Adnan Abu Rammouz for actual imprisonment of 6 months after he was found guilty of the same charges and is currently detained in “Megiddo” prison; Mohammad and Laith were arrested on 01/09/2013 and are both residents of Shu’fat refugee camp.
