The arrest of a child, sentencing two young men and extending the arrest of four others and releasing two minors

The Israeli forces arrested on Tuesday afternoon 16-year old Obada Najib from Al-Wad Street in Old City of Jerusalem. The District court in Jerusalem sentenced on Tuesday two young men from Silwan and Esawyeh for actual imprisonment. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the District court sentenced 23-year old Daoud Ata Rayyan from Silwan for 12 months of actual imprisonment; note that he has been detained for six months in Eshel prison in Beer Sheva. Daoud’s brother, Mohammad, pointed out that a 10-month sentence was issued against Daoud and during the court, they asked Daoud to apologize and express his sorrow for what he did but he refused, and then the judge ordered to imprison him for 12 months. Sentencing Mohammad Nihad Obeid The District court also sentenced 22-year old Mohammad Nihad Obeid from Esawyeh for 30 months of actual imprisonment. Mohammad Mahmoud, Al-Dameer organization lawyer, said that the District judge sentenced Mohammad on charges of being active in the Popular Front and throwing stones and Molotov cocktails at the convoy of the Jerusalem Mayor while he was visiting the village of Esawyeh; note that Mohammad Obeid was arrested last August. Extension of arrest The Magistrate court extended on Tuesday the arrest of Ahmad Hadeeb, Nizar Sub Laban and Mou’amar Rabyeh until Thursday; note that they were arrested last Saturday during a sit-in that was organized at Damascus Gate to protest against the Martyrdom of three men in Jenin. Releasing two minors Mohammad Mahmoud said that the Magistrate judge released the two minors Louai Sarandah and Tamer Atef Obeid from Esawyeh after paying a 500-NIS bail for each and on condition of house arrest for 10 days; note that they were arrested on Monday.
