September 14, 2014

The Knesset Deputy Speaker, Moshe Feiglin, broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday morning through Dung Gate along with a group of extremists and a photographer who was holding a video camera and under heavy protection by the Special Forces. The Israeli police closed most of Al-Aqsa Gates since the early hours of Sunday morning and prevented women of all ages from entering and also prevented men under the age of 40 from entering in order to secure Feiglin’s break-in. Feiglin carried out his tour in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa reaching the courtyard of the Dome of the Rock where he performed his Talmudic prayer while being barefooted; note that he exited Al-Aqsa through Al-Silsileh Gate while walking backwards. In a related matter, clashes using hands broke out between the Israeli police and Al-Aqsa guards. The police pushed and assaulted the guards and injured Mwafaq Hamami after he was pushed to the ground where he lost consciousness.
