Extending the arrest of seven Jerusalemites and releasing a prisoner
The Magistrate court judge extended on Sunday the arrest of seven Jerusalemites and released three others and also sentenced one minor from the village of Esawyeh. Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the Magistrate judge extended on Sunday the arrest of Qusai Dari, Atef Ammouri and Yazan Alayan until 17/09/2014; note that they were arrested on Sunday early morning after raiding their houses. The judge also extended the arrest of the minor Amir Bilbeisi and Mohammad Abu Sbitan until Monday. The public prosecution submitted a prosecutor’s permit to submit an indictment against Mohammad Mughrabi and the judge extended his arrest until next Thursday. The judge also released Baker Mughrabi with a 750-NIS financial bail and a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS in addition to house arrest for 7 days. The lawyer added that the Magistrate judge sentenced the 17-year old Ali Mahmoud for three months of actual imprisonment; note that Ali has to turn himself in next month and the public prosecution requested to imprison him for 9 months. In a related matter, Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the police released on Sunday night Abdullah Hadreh and Basel Sayyad with a 750-NIS bail, a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS and house arrest for 7 days. The judge also extended the arrest of 16-year old Nidal Mohammad Izz Eddin Sinokrot until 2/10/2014 on charges of throwing stones and assaulting a policeman; note that he was arrested last Monday during the funeral of the child Mohammad Sinokrot. The administration of Nafha prison released on Sunday the 33-year old Jerusalemite prisoner Louai Naser Eddin after completing his 27-month prison sentence.
