Extending the arrest of 13 Jerusalemites and the conditional release of several children

E Magistrate court judge extended last Wednesday the arrest of 13 Jerusalemites and released three others and also transferred six children to house arrest. Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of Ali Shyoukhi, Mohammad Saeed and Mohammad Hamdan until Thursday. The judge decided to release Mahdi Abulhawa and Bilal Abulhawa with a financial bail and house arrest but the public prosecution appealed the decision in the District court which postponed their release. The prosecution also submitted an indictment to the Magistrate court against Mohammad Abu Sbitan. In a related matter, the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of the minors Qusai Dari, Mohammad Abu Hummus and Atef Omari until 21/09/2014 to interrogate them regarding the burning of the gas station in the village of Esawyeh. The judge released the child Mohammad Shyoukhi with a 1000-NIS financial bail and house arrest for four days and also decided to release Mohammad Bujeh and Mohammad Abbasi from Silwan with a third-party bail. Six Jerusalemite children under house arrest The judge also decided to impose house arrest for one week on six children from the neighborhood of Al-Thori in Silwan after they were presented to the Magistrate court judge. They are: 12-year old Mohammad Ayman Abdelrazzak, 13-year old Ashraf Hani Gheith, 14-year old Mohammad Younes Abdelrazzak, 14-year old Marwan Othman Alwat, 13-year old Mutaz Walid Shweiki and Mohammad Talhami; note that a 500-NIS financial bail was also imposed on each of the six children. In a related matter, the Magistrate court judge decided to extend the arrest of Rami Barakat, Rami Julani, Adham Shweiki and his 19-year old brother Mohammad for one day to interrogate them.
