Settlers attempt to kidnap the child Mohammad Zaghal and the police arrest the child

The Israeli forces arrested the 11-year old Mohammad Zaghal while he was walking near the Gethsemane road near Lions Gate after eight settlers attempted to assault and kidnap the child. Mohammad’s father explained to Wadi Hilweh Information Center that her son was walking home to the neighborhood of Ras Al-Amoud after he accompanied his sister to her school in Jerusalem. Upon arriving at the Gethsemane road, eight settlers chased him and tried to kidnap and assault him but he managed to run and hide in a car that belonged to a Jerusalemite family. The father added that the settlers tried to assault the citizens in the area in order to kidnap his son but the police arrived in the area and arrested the child under the pretext of throwing stones. Mohammad’s father also explained that his son was interrogated on charges of throwing stones and the child confirmed that eight settlers tried to kidnap him but the police refused to listen and threatened to arrest him in the event of a repeat incident.
