Freezing the decision to demolish the houses of the Martyrs Hijazi and Al-Akari

The lawyer of Al-Dameer organization, Mohammad Mahmoud, and lawyer of “Hamoked” submitted an appeal on Wednesday to the Israeli Supreme court against the demolition of the house of the Martyr Mutaz Hijazi and another appeal was submitted on Thursday against the demolition of the house of the Martyrs Ghassan and Odai Abu Al-Jamal. “Hamoked” organization submitted through the lawyer Labib Habib and in cooperation with the lawyer of Al-Akari family Midhat Deebeh an appeal to the Israeli Supreme court against the demolition of the house of Ibrahim Al-Akari, and the court decided to freeze the demolition until discussing the appeal submitted. The police legal advisor of the Internal Front Ministry in the occupation army had refused on 24/11/2014 the two appeals submitted by the lawyers of Hijazi and Al-Akari families against the demolition of their houses. It is noteworthy that the house of Martyr Mutaz Hijazi is in the neighborhood of Al-Thori, and the Al-Akari’s house is in Shu’fat refugee camp while the houses of Abu Al-Jamal are in the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber in Jerusalem.
