Sentencing three young men

The Magistrate and District court judges sentenced on Monday three young Jerusalemite men to actual imprisonment for periods that ranged between 3 and 20 months. Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the District court judge sentenced Amro Ibrahim Abbasi for 20 months of actual imprisonment and a suspended probation of six months for three years in addition to a 2500-NIS fine. Abbasi was arrested on 26/08/2014 on charges of throwing stones, firecrackers and Molotov Cocktails; note that Amro’s father is sentenced for 18 years and is currently imprisoned in Rimon prison. Lawyer Mahmoud added that the Magistrate judge sentenced Fadi Abu Sbeih for 3 months and one day of actual imprisonment on charges of throwing stones and a suspended probation of two months for two years. The judge also sentenced Ala’ Razem for four months of actual imprisonment and a suspended probation of two months for two years. The lawyer added that the judge extended the arrest of Munir Maswadeh for one day and extended the arrest of Ziad Abu Hadwan until 31/12/2014 where an indictment was submitted against him that included charges of throwing firecrackers. In a related matter, the Magistrate judge released Qusai Dandis after spending 28 days in Al-Maskobyeh cells. Qusai was released with a financial bail of 2000 NIS and on condition of house arrest for 5 days.
