The employees of the Israeli Collection Authorities raided on Tuesday a construction tools workshop in the neighborhood of Bi’er Ayoub in Silwan. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the tax authority’s crews raided a workshop owned by Mohammad Abed Odeh in the neighborhood of Bi’er Ayoub under the pretext of not paying the “Arnona” (property tax) since 2009. They asked him to pay 15 thousand NIS and threatened to confiscate all the equipment and tools inside the workshop. After refusing to leave and the breakout of verbal altercations, Mohammad paid 3 thousand NIS and they asked him to follow-up with the Collection Department. The crews also raided several commercial stores in Silwan but the owners were not present.
