Sentencing three young Jerusalemite men and extending the arrest of five Jerusalemites

The Magistrate and District courts judges sentenced on Tuesday three young Jerusalemite men. Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, said that the District judge sentenced Mahmoud Dweik for 16 months of actual imprisonment and Mohammad Abbasi for 12 months and a suspended probation of 12 months for three years for both of them on charges of throwing firecrackers and Molotov Cocktails. Lawyer Mahmoud added that the Magistrate judge sentenced Mohammad Issa Obeid for 13 months of actual imprisonment on charges of belonging to a terrorist organization and planning to carry out attacks (according to the indictment). In a related matter, the District judge extended on Tuesday the arrest of Mohammad Tayseer Abu Sbitan until completing the legal procedures against him, and the public prosecution submitted an indictment against him on Tuesday. The Magistrate judge extended on Tuesday the arrest of Mohammad Akram Abulhawa until 9/3/2015. A session was held for Sheikh Omar Abu Sara and lawyer Mahmoud explained that a session was scheduled for his client on 12/4/2015 to hear witnesses. The Center was also informed that the judge extended the arrest of Ahmad Da’na, Jamal Da’na and Louai Rajabi until 2/3/2015.
