The occupation arrests a child…sentencing three Jerusalemites and extensions of arrest
February 18, 2015

The occupation police arrested the 11-year old Daoud Wisam Hammoudeh and transferred him to Al-Qishleh police center in the Old City of Jerusalem; he was released after interrogating him on charges of throwing stones at settlers. Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, said that the Magistrate judge sentenced the 17-year old Bashar Mahmoud from the village of Esawyeh for three months of actual imprisonment and a suspended probation of four months for two years in addition to a 2500 NIS fine; note that he’s been arrested since 18/12/2014. The lawyer added that the judge also sentenced Ala’ Salah for two months, and Majd Abu Rammouz for three months and one day; note that he was arrested after the Martyrdom of the child Mohammad Abu Khdeir and was then released on house-arrest conditions after being interrogated. Abu Rammouz has to turn himself-in next Sunday. The judge extended the arrest of Badee’ Gheith until 11/3/2015 and Mohammad Julani until 20/5/2015 and Tarek Kurd until 25/5/2015 (a session to discuss the possibility of releasing him with a bail and house-arrest conditions). The judge also refused to release Fouad Rweidi with a financial bail and extended his arrest until completing the legal procedures against him; note that Rweidi and Kurd were arrested on charges of incitement on Facebook.
