The occupation prevents Amjad Abu Asab from leaving the country for one month

The occupation Intelligence detained on Thursday morning the head of Jerusalemites detainees and prisoner families committee, Amjad Abu Asab, while he was at “Lod” Airport as he was heading to Turkey to participate in a conference about detaining Palestinian children. Abu Asab explained that six officers detained him while he was at the “Duty Free” and informed him that he was banned from travelling. Abu Asab was then handed an order to prevent him from leaving the country for one month until 17/3/2015. Abu Asab also explained that the prevention order was issued by the Israeli Minister of Internal Security under the pretext of “security issues”. He added that he finished all the procedures at the airport (inspection and travelling arrangements) and was surprised to see the Intelligence personnel detain him and hand him the prevention order. Abu Asab also pointed out that the 14-year old free prisoner Mohammad Sultan Abbasi was accompanying him to attend the conference and he was allowed to travel with his grandfather. amjad
