The 10-year old Mariam Karim Da’na was run over by the settlers’ vehicle on Tuesday in Silwan. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the settlers’ vehicle was driving in Ein Al-Lozeh Street “Maragha Road” and ran over the child Da’na when she was near her house. Amer Da’na, the child’s brother, explained that his sister was standing in front of her house in the neighborhood of Ein Al-Lozeh when the speeding vehicle passed by. The vehicle hit his sister and pulled over few seconds later and backed over her leg. Da’na also explained that the young men stopped the vehicle and the police arrived and helped the settlers leave the area; note that the police did not arrest or interrogate the settlers like they should. An ambulance transported the child to Hadassah Hospital and the initial check-ups showed that the child suffered fractures in her left foot and bruises in the neck and back.
