Arresting five Jerusalemite women
The occupation police arrested on Tuesday five Jerusalemite women after they left Al-Aqsa Mosque. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the police arrested the 56-year old Latifeh Mkheimar, Khadijeh Khweis, 30-year old Jihad Ghazzawi, 24-year old Fatmeh Alayan and Nawal Qawasmi after they left Al-Aqsa Mosque; Nawal was released from “Bet Elyahu” police station at Al-Silsileh (Chain) Gate. Lawyer Ramzi Kateelat from “Lawyers for Jerusalem” explained that the police extended the arrest of the four women for 24 hours to present them to court on Wednesday. The Center was informed that the police released on Tuesday night Latifeh Mkheimar because Al-Maskobyeh prison refused to accommodate her for medical reasons; she was handed an order to attend court on Wednesday. The Magistrate judge decided to release the 53-year old Wisal Idris and the 37-year old Sana’ Sheikha on condition of isolation from Al-Aqsa Mosque for 45 days. It is noteworthy that the police arrested Idris and Sheikha after the exited Al-Aqsa mosque and also arrested a third woman but released her later on from “Bet Elyahu” station.
