Clashes in the neighborhood of Ras Al-Amoud in Silwan

Clashes broke out on Saturday night in the neighborhood of Al-Shayah in Ras Al-Amoud between the Israeli forces and the young men. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that dozens of young men and locals of Al-Shayah suffocated after the occupation forces heavily fired tear gas grenades in the neighborhood during the clashes and the young men responded with stones and firecrackers. A group of young men threw a Molotov cocktail towards the settlers guards’ vehicle in the neighborhood of Ein Al-Lozeh and the forces raided the neighborhood searching for the young men. Clashes also broke out on Friday night in Silwan, Bab Hutta and Herod’s Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem. The Center was also informed that the Israeli forces raided the Middle Neighborhood in Silwan on Friday night and fired sound grenades towards the houses and passers-by while the young men responded with throwing Molotov cocktails towards the settlement outpost in the area of the Upper Ein. The forces were stationed in the alleys and at the entrance of Bab Hutta and provoked the residents which led to the breakout of clashes. Witnesses said that a settler’s car was set on fire in the neighborhood of Al-Khilweh in Al-Tur near the settlement outpost.
