Arrests…prison sentences and extensions of arrest
The occupation forces arrested on Monday early morning two young men from the village of Esawyeh after raiding their houses. Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the Israeli forces arrested Sufian Mahmoud and Walid Atyeh from the village of Esawyeh and transferred them to Al-Maskobyeh police in West Jerusalem for interrogation. Extensions of arrest… Lawyer Mahmoud said that the Magistrate judge extended on Sunday the arrest of Ahmad Mazen Al-Razem until next Wednesday, Basel Sayyad until next Sunday, Majd Ramadi and Ahmad Maher Al-Razem and Amjad Dandis until next Tuesday and Yazan Mheisen until next Thursday; the prosecution submitted a prosecutor’s permit during Sunday’s session to submit an indictment against Mheisen. The lawyer added that the District court extended the arrest of Mufeed Obeid until 3/6/2015 and Mohammad Abu Hummos until 10/5/2015 for sentencing. Prison sentences and extensions of arrest… The Magistrate judge sentenced last Thursday two young Jerusalemite men for actual imprisonment. Lawyer Mahmoud explained that the Magistrate judge sentenced Mohannad Gheith for 11 months of actual imprisonment and a suspended probation of six months for two years. He also sentenced Kamal Alami for three and a half months of actual imprisonment and a suspended probation of three months for two years. Musa Kurd was also sentenced for a suspended probation of 4 months for two years and a 150-hours course in addition to a 3-thousand NIS fine. In a related matter, the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of Mohammad Ahmad Obeid until 21/5/2015 and Ghaleb Shallodi until completing all legal procedures against him; the evidence of belonging to Hamas Movement were challenged during the session. The judge also extended the arrest of Mohammad Risheq and Hasan Gheith until 21/5/2015 which is when the so-called “conduct officer” will release his report. Mohammad Salman was presented to the judge and a session was scheduled for him on 12/5/2015. The judge also extended the arrest of Ayo Abulhawa until 20/5/2015. Releases… The judge decided to release Ahmad Eweisat and Mohammad Eweisat with a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS, and also released Mahmoud Abulhawa with a 500-NIS bail, house arrest for 5 days and a third-party bail. In a related matter, Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that he Magistrate judge extended on Sunday the arrest of the 16-year old Abdelrahim Izz Eddin Barbar from the neighborhood of Ras Al-Amoud until 10/5/2015. Barbar family said that this is the seventh arrest for their child Abdelrahim and explained that he was 13 years old the first time he was arrested.
