Extending the arrest of 20 Jerusalemites and isolating a child from Al-Aqsa
The Magistrate and District judges extended on Sunday the arrest of 20 Jerusalemites. Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of the 18-year old Naeem Abu Sara until 11/8/2015 (interrogated at Al-Maskobyeh cells). The public prosecution submitted on Sunday indictments to the District judge against Ahmad Ghazzawi, Ibrahim Ghazzawi and Nouh Ghazzawi that included charges of assaulting settlers, and against Hani Naser and Yehya Dirbas that included charges of throwing stones at settlers vehicles near the village of Esawyeh; the judge extended their arrest until 5/8/2015. The public prosecution also submitted a prosecutor’s permit to submit an indictment against Amir Mahmoud and the judge extended his arrest until 5/8/2015. Lawyer Mahmoud added that the judge decided to release Mohammad Kiswani with a 500-NIS bail and house-arrest for 5 days in addition to a third-party bail. In a related matter, Wadi Hilweh Information Center’s lawyer said that the public prosecution submitted an indictment against Majd Mustafa that included charges of throwing stones at settlers’ cars, and an indictment against Atyeh Ghazzawi and Abed Ghazzawi that included charges of assaulting settlers; the judge extended their arrest until 5/8/2015. The judge also extended the arrest of Ahmad Rweidi until 5/8/2015; Ala’ Al-Qaq until 6/8/2015; Obada Najib, Mahmoud Najib, Mohammad Najib, Mohammad Abu Sneineh and Abdel Karim Haddad until Monday (3/8/2015). The Magistrate judge isolated the child Mohammad Abu Hadwan from Al-Aqsa Mosque for two weeks. The center was informed that the judge extended the arrest of Amjad Ali Abbasi until next Thursday, Baker Mahmoud Abbasi and Omar Daoud Abbasi until Tuesday (4/8/2015).
