Extending the arrest of 8 Jerusalemites

The Israeli Magistrate court extended on Tuesday the arrest of three Jerusalemite activists for several days to continue interrogating them. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of the activist Adnan Najib until next Friday, the activists Samer Abu Eisheh and Abdullah Hamad Sinjlawi until 1/9/2015; note that they were arrested on 19/8/2015 after raiding their houses; lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud from Al-Dameer organization and lawyer Tarek Barghouth from Ministry of Prisoners defended the detainees. In a related matter, Wadi Hilweh Information Center’s lawyer said that the public prosecution submitted a prosecutor’s permit to submit an indictment against the child Haitham Barakat and the judge extended his arrest until next Thursday. Monday’s extensions of arrest Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the District judge extended on Monday the arrest of Mohammad Shallodi (18) until Wednesday. The center’s lawyer explained that the District judge extended the arrest of the child Laith Abed Rabbo and Khalil Abdo until Wednesday. The Magistrate judge had decided to release Abed Rabbo and Abdo but the police appealed the decision at the District court which approved it. The center’s lawyer added that the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of the 15-year old Majd Aqel from Beit Hanina until Wednesday and the police released the 13-year old Mohammad Nour Fathi Abu Nab on condition of house-arrest for 5 days and a third-party bail. Abu Nab was arrested from the “Middle Neighborhood” in Silwan under the pretext of throwing stones and was assaulted during the arrest and while detained at the police center.
