The freed prisoner Ibrahim Salah from Bethlehem carries out a stabbing attack in Jerusalem
Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that a Palestinian man stabbed an Israeli soldier in the area of Damascus Gate in Jerusalem on Wednesday night and the Israeli forces immediately assaulted and severely beat the Palestinian man and injured him, Witnesses added that the forces arrested the man and transferred the injured soldier to receive treatment; note that he was slightly injured in his leg. Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, said that the occupation police arrested the 55-year old freed prisoner Ibrahim Salah under the pretext of stabbing an Israeli soldier in the area of Damascus Gate in Jerusalem. Lawyer Mahmoud explained that Salah is from Bethlehem and was released at the end of 2013 within the third phase of releasing veteran prisoners; he was transferred to Al-Qishleh police and then to “Cells 20” at Al-Maskobyeh. Salah spent 22 years in the occupation’s prisons and was released in the third phase of releasing veteran prisoners which was done by Netanyahu’s government as a good faith initiative to strengthen confidence between them and the Palestinians.
