Clashes in Silwan and Esawyeh…and the occupation arrests two minors

Clashes broke out on Sunday in the villages of Esawyeh and Silwan in response to the targeting of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the settlers and occupations force as well as the siege imposed on it. Wadi Hilweh Information Center’s staff explained that the occupation forces arrested the 17-year old Mahmoud Abu nab from “Hosh” Abu Tayeh in Ein Al-Lozeh in Silwan. The forces fired live bullets in order to execute the arrest after the infantry unit had raided the neighborhood. In the neighborhood of Ein Al-Lozeh, young men threw Molotov Cocktails at the settlers’ guards’ vehicle and also threw Molotov Cocktails and firecrackers at a police vehicle that was passing through the area; the police responded with heavily firing sound grenades. In the neighborhood of Ras Al-Amoud in Silwan, violent clashes broke out neat the settlement of Ras Al-Amoud in the schools’ street and the forces heavily fired tear gas and sound grenades; young men responded with stones and Molotov Cocktails. Mohammad Abu Hummos, member of follow-up committee in the village of Esawyeh, explained that scattered clashes broke out in the neighborhoods of the village mainly at the entrance of the village and the neighborhood of Abu Rayyaleh. The forces arrested the 17-year old Adam Mheisen from the village of Esawyeh.
