Clashes continue for a fourth day: two more Palestinians hospitalised
September 25, 2010

The clashes between Palestinian residents and the Israeli military continue to intensify for their fourth day in a row. The area has witnessed a concentration in the presence of the Israeli armed forces unlike any it has previously experienced. Today, Israeli soldiers have turned the neighbourhood of Batel Haweh into what is effectively a military base. The Israeli military also attacked the home of the Rwaidi family in Wadi Hilweh today, where a19 year old received a heavy beating from the soldiers, resulting in severe damage to his eye. A second man was also shot in the leg with a rubber bullet. Meanwhile, the Forces continue to both throw and shoot tear gas canisters directly at the neighbourhoods’ residents, and violence between the military and the residents is increasing.
