Joint crews of occupation municipality, Nature and Parks authority and Israeli forces raided on Monday the parking lot of Nasri Sabri Mheisen in the village of Esawyeh and gave him 24 hours to evacuate it. Mohammad Abu Hummos, member of follow-up committee in the village of Esawyeh, explained that employees of the occupation municipality and Nature and Parks authority raided the land of Nasri Mheisen that is used as a parking lot for his vehicles and trucks; the land is 1250 square meters. They gave him 24 hours to evacuate it. Abu Hummos explained that the forces prevented the locals of Esawyeh from using a land near the entrance of the village as a parking lot few months ago because of their daily presence in it in addition to placing cement blocks around it. The village of Esawyeh lacks parking areas and one of those affected was Mheisen who was forced to use another piece of land as an alternative parking. Abu Hummos added that Mheisen was surprised on Monday when he was given only 24 hours to evacuate the land. He pointed out that this land is under threat of being confiscated in favor of “National Parks”. The locals objected to the “National Parks” plan which aims at seizing their lands in favor of settlement projects. Abu Hummos said: “The Nature and Parks authority and the municipality are ignoring the Israeli Courts’ decisions to freeze the national parks plan until further notice. They are racing time to confiscate locals’ lands to execute their settlement projects.”
