The occupation arrests two women…prison sentences…extensions of arrest…and isolations from Al-Aqsa Mosque

The occupation forces arrested on Thursday night two Jerusalemite women after raiding their homes in the neighborhood of Al-Thori in Silwan.

Witnesses explained to Wadi Hilweh Information Center that the occupation forces arrested 51-year old Ikram Ghazzawi and Samah Ghazzawi after raiding their home in Al-Thori.

The occupation authorities released Sana’ Rajabi after handing her an order of isolation from Al-Aqsa Mosque for three months and released Rawya Qawasmi on condition of isolation from Al-Aqsa for two weeks.

The police also released Aida Sidawi and Dalal Hashlamon on condition of attending court on Sunday.

On the other hand, lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of 17-year old Odai Yousef until 11/4/2016 while the District judge extended the arrest of Ahmad Abu Roumi, Adam Abu Shamala and Ahmad Abu Issa until 18/4/2016, Khader Abu Ghannam and Haitham Khweis until 6/6/2016 (witnesses hearing session), Mohammad Issa until 16/4/2016, Mohammad Naser and Anas Abu Mayaleh until 29/5/2016, Akram Mustafa until 5/5/2016, Samer Abu Eisheh until 8/9/2016, Hijazi Abu Sbeih until 4/5/2016, Khaled Jadallah until 29/5/2016 and Hashem Abulhawa until 7/4/2016.

The judge also extended the barest of the minors Odai Halseh, Yazan Abu Asab and Mo’men Mahmoud until completing the legal procedures against them.

Meanwhile, the judge reduced the releasing conditions imposed on the child Malek Shqeir by allowing him to go back to his home in the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber as well as allowing him to go to school.

Prison sentences…

Amjad Abu Asab, head of Jerusalemite detainees and prisoners families committee, explained that the District court in the city of Bi’er Sheva issued a new prison sentence of 22 months and a 15-thousand NIS fine against the 28-year old Jerusalemite prisoner Mohammad Jawdat Khalil Shawish who is a resident of the Old City of Jerusalem; the new sentence will also be added to the previous 5-years prison sentence.

Abu Asab explained that Mohammad was arrested on 22/4/2012 and was convicted in participating in a stabbing attack. Last year, the occupation authorities accused him of attempting to smuggle a cell phone into the Negev prison and transferred him to interrogation again and presented a new indictment against him.

The District Court in Jerusalem sentenced the 21-yar old Jerusalemite prisoner Mohammad Naser Abbasi from Silwan for 6 years of actual imprisonment and a 10-thousand NIS fine. Abbasi was arrested on 22/4/2015 on charges of throwing Molotov Cocktails and participating in clashes.
