An appeal to the Supreme Court regarding the release of Martyrs’ bodies
June 5, 2016

The Israeli Supreme Court requested the public prosecution on Sunday to respond to the appeal submitted by lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud regarding the release of Jerusalemite Martyrs’ bodies detained in the occupation’s freezers.

Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that he had submitted an appeal on Sunday morning requesting the release of the bodies of 7 Palestinian Martyrs that have been detained for months in the occupation’s freezers. The appeal came after the Minister of Internal Security, Gilad Ardan, had ordered the police to stop released the Martyrs’ bodies claiming that Abu Jamal family violated the conditions during the funeral of their son.

The lawyer added that the Supreme Court requested the public prosecution to respond to the appeal before 9/6/2016 and asked them to explain their actions after the Supreme Court judges recommended in May to release the Martyrs’ bodies before the month of Ramadan.
