Violent clashes in Silwan

Violent clashes broke out on Tuesday night in the neighborhood of Ein Al-Lozeh in Silwan between young men and occupation forces that raided the neighborhood and were deployed in its streets.

Witnesses explained to Wadi Hilweh Information Center that a military vehicle raided Ein Al-Lozeh and started provoking the residents resulting in the breakout of clashes between young men and occupation forces that randomly fired tear gas canisters, rubber bullets and live bullets.

Witnesses also added that young men threw Molotov Cocktails towards the military vehicle setting part of it on fire.

Several locals suffocated due to heavy firing of tear gas canisters while one young man was shot in his leg and another in his eye.

Witnesses also added that the forces closed the streets of Ein Al-Lozeh.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said that their crews were subject to harassment and were searched and their ambulance was searched 8 times by the forces present in the area.

The occupation forces raided several houses owned by Abbasi family in Ein Al-Lozeh and assaulted 60-year old Khalil Abbasi and his son and pushed them; they also broke the front door of the house of Ahmad Abbasi.
