Reaching a deal to sentence the children Farah and Za’tari for two years
November 9, 2016

The lawyers (Mohammad Mahmoud and Lee’a Tsemel) of two Jerusalemite children accused of “possession of knives and attempt-murder” reached a deal with the public prosecution to sentence their clients for two years in which they will serve in internal institutions.

The lawyers explained that they reached a deal with the public prosecution to sentence 13-year old Shadi Anwar Farah and 13-year old Ahmad Ra’ed Za’tari for two years in “Yarka” internal institution.

They added that the sentence will be ratified on 29/11/2016 which will be considered as their first day of “actual imprisonment” meaning that the previous period will not count towards their sentences.

The children were arrested last year from Street number “1” in Jerusalem and an indictment was submitted against them including charges of possession of knives and attempt-murder; they are currently detained in an internal institution in Tamra.
