The occupation bulldozers demolished on Tuesday three houses in the village of Esawyeh without prior notice under the pretext of building without a permit.

Large Israeli forces including police and special units along with municipality crews and bulldozers raided the village of Esawyeh and demolished three houses.

Demolition and displacement

The municipality’s bulldozers demolished the house of Saleh Turk that was established in 2007 under the pretext of building without a permit.

Turk explained that the bulldozers demolished his house and displaced his family of 11 individuals without prior notice.

He added: “The house was built in 2007. In 2013, the municipality issued a decision to demolish the house and it was postponed. Then, the municipality imposed a 25-thousand NIS fine for building without a permit. The order was postponed until 8/2/2017 and the municipality did not give him or the lawyer any other demolition order last week. They suddenly raided the house and demolished it.”

Turk explained that municipality crews prevented the family from emptying the house and only allowed them to take out personal documents and only gave them few minutes to do so.

The bulldozers also demolished an animal farm and swept trees and plants in the area.

The occupation forces assaulted Ala’ Turk by pushing and beating him, and evacuated his little brothers under rainy conditions.

Demolishing the house of Mustafa family

The occupation municipality’s bulldozers also demolished two under-construction apartments owned by Basem Hasan Yassin Mustafa under the pretext of building without a permit.

Abu Yassin Mustafa explained that municipality crews and bulldozers demolished the two apartments without prior notice. Municipality crews had raided the building nearly a month ago and handed the family a demolition order which was postponed by the municipality’s court.

Mustafa added that the bulldozers demolished the two apartments on top of building tools and did not allow anyone to approach the area; they also assaulted a group of young men and used force against them.

Mustafa explained that the surface area of the two demolished apartments is 270 square meters; they started building nearly 4 months ago.
