Assaults and arrests at Al-Majles and Al-Silsileh gates
The occupation forces arrested on Sunday a group of young men after assaulting and beating them at Al-Majles and Al-Silsileh gates- two of Al-Aqsa Mosque’s gates.
Witnesses said the occupation forces assaulted and pushed worshippers while heading to Al-Aqsa at Al-Silsileh and Al-Majles gates concurrently with the activity of “human train for children inside Al-Aqsa Mosque”.
Witnesses added that the forces started assaulting young men and worshippers at Al-Majles gate and arrested Mayada Shawamreh and several young men after assaulting and beating them.
The occupation police stationed at Al-Silsileh gate randomly sprayed pepper gas towards the guards of Al-Aqsa Mosque and worshippers and beat them before arresting Emran Rajabi (one of Al-Aqsa guards). He was detained for several minutes in the detention center and was then released.
Witnesses said that among the detainees was Ala’ Haddad, a member of the Jerusalemite detainees and prisoners families committee, and Mouayad Idris, Mouath Idris, Ahmad Idris, Abdullah Badran and Atef Badran.
Before the Evening Prayer, the forces arrested Tarek Ziad Abu Mayaleh at Al-Majles gate while trying to enter Al-Aqsa.
An activity entitled “human train for children” was organized on Sunday inside the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque. Thousands of children participated in the event and the courtyards were filled with children and then families.
