Distributing demolition orders in the village of Esawyeh
The occupation municipality’s employees distributed on Tuesday demolition notices and orders to stop construction” to several residential establishments in the village of Esawyeh under the pretext of building without a permit.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed by the member of follow-up committee in the village of Esawyeh, Mohammad Abu Hummos, that the occupation forces along with municipality employees raided several neighborhoods in the village of Esawyeh especially the center of the village, Mahmoud neighborhood in the eastern part and Abu Ryaleh neighborhood. They distributed demolition notices and orders to stop construction in residential establishments.
Abu Hummos explained that some of the establishments were established several years ago while others are still under construction.
Abu Hummos added that the occupation municipality placed a demolition notice on an establishment in the center of the village that is leased by the municipality and is used for a community center. Abu Hummos said: “This indicates the contradiction of the municipality, and the double dealing with Jerusalemites. When the need for schools is mentioned in the village, the municipality then demands licensed buildings, but it rents a public center for its own benefit that is not licensed.”
Abu Hummos also added that the municipality executes demolitions against residential buildings in the village of Esawyeh every now and then under the pretext of building without a permit at a time when it prevents all structural schemes filed by the locals for construction and expansion.
