628 settlers break into Al-Aqsa Mosque

For the third consecutive day, hundreds of settlers broke into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of occupation forces on occasion of the Jewish Sukkot holiday.

The Islamic Awqaf department said that 628 settlers broke into Al-Aqsa and conducted tours into its courtyards during the morning and afternoon break-in sessions.

The occupation police detained the IDs of Muslim worshippers before entering Al-Aqsa especially in the morning hours.

Since the early morning, settlers entered the Old City of Jerusalem heading towards Al-Buraq Wall and carrying dates to perform the special prayers of Sukkot holiday. They also conducted tours and prayers outside the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
