Occupation authorities prevent a ceremony on the Russian National Day, and arrest 6 people
The Israeli occupation forces stormed the Ambassador Hotel in Jerusalem on Monday night and banned a reception on the "National Day of the Russian Federation", which was called by the Embassy of the Russian Federation and the Palestinian-Russian Friendship Society on the pretext of being organized by "terrorist organizations".
Wadi Hilweh Information Center learned that the occupation forces and intelligence personnel stormed the concert hall in the hotel, several minutes after it began during a speech by the Palestinian President’s advisor Nabil Shaath. The forces stopped the ceremony and highlighted the decision to ban it.
Witnesses told Wadi Hilweh Information Center that the occupation intelligence photographed the audience, including the Russian ambassador and Palestinian figures and representatives of the embassy and Palestinian institutions and national forces, and then checked the identities of some of them.
Witnesses said that the forces arrested: Abeer Abu Khdeir, Abdul Latif Gheith, Hani Essawi, Rasem Obeidat, Ahmad Safadi and Anan Barakat, and detained the identity of Ziad Hammouri.
