The occupation authorities forced Mustafa Suboh to self-demolish his two apartments in the neighborhood ofRas Al-Amoud in Silwan, under the pretext of building without a permit.
Mustafa Suboh explained to Wadi Hilweh Information Center that the occupation municipality issued a final decision to self-demolish his apartments, pointing out that he built them 13 years ago and tried during the last period to license them but to no avail.
Suboh added that the municipal staff raided his residence on Tuesday and demanded that the demolition order be implemented immediately. Otherwise, bulldozers would conduct the demolition and he has to pay the demolition fee NIS 150,000 for "bulldozers, municipal crews and accompanying forces."
Suboh explained that the two apartments are about 190 square meters, where 10 people lived.
"The demolition decision is final. I have been able to postpone and freeze the demolition several times, and today I am self-demolishingthem. I paid large amounts of money in an attempt to license them and avoid the demolition," Suboh said.
