Assault and arrests- Suppressing a solidarity sit-in with prisoner Samer Arbid

On Tuesday, the Israeli occupation forces attacked the participants in a sit-in in front of Hadassah Issawiya hospital in Jerusalem, that was organized in solidarity and support ofprisoner Samer Arbid, who has been in hospital critical condition for several days after undergoing harsh interrogation in the occupation’s prisons.

Wadi Hilweh Information Center explained that the Israeli occupation forces chased the participants in the sit-in at Hadassah Hospital Street in Jerusalem from one place to another, and severely beat them and pushed them in an attempt to prevent them from continuing the sit-in and chanting to prisoner Samer.

The center added that the Israeli occupation forces suddenly attacked the protesters, and arrested Sumoud Abu Khdeir, beat her severely, and handcuffed her while holding her on the ground.Then they walked her towards the police vehicle, during which they assaulted those present to prevent them from reaching her.

The Israeli occupation forces also arrested Nidal Aboud and injured him in the face.

The information center learned that the Israeli police extended the arrest of Aboud and Abu Khdeir until tomorrow.

The Israeli occupation forces confiscated a banner with pictures of prisoner Samer Arbid, and stopped the young men before and after the sit-in, and searched some of them after checking their IDs.
