The occupation authorities close the offices of the Directorate of Education and Palestine TV in Jerusalem

On Wednesday morning, the Israeli occupation forces closed the offices of the Directorate of Education and Palestine TV in Jerusalem by an order from the Minister of Internal Security.

The occupation forces arrested Mr. Samir Jibreel, director of the Directorate of Education, and director of Al-Arz company for TV production, photographer Ayman Abu Rammouz.

Wadi Hilweh Information Center said that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the headquarters of the Directorate of Education in the Old City of Jerusalem knowing that the building includes the offices of the Directorate and Dar Al-Aytam school, evacuated all students, teachers and staff and were stationed at the building’s main entrance and prevented anyone from entering. The forces were also deployed in the courtyard of the building and other teams began to search offices.

The center added that the Israeli occupation forces also stormed Al-Rasasi Mosque in the Old City, which is only meters away from the Directorate and has one of the its offices, and besieged it and detained those inside. After a search and field investigation of the staff, Mr. Samir Jibreel was arrested by the security forces, and the Israeli intelligence closed the mosque and seized its keys. The forced also confiscated a number of files and computers.

Palestine TV

The Israeli occupation forces raided Al-Arz TV production company, searched it, placed a decision to close the office of Palestine TV, arrested the director of the company in Jerusalem Ayman Abu Rammouz, and summoned Nizar Younes, director of the company and Palestine TV correspondent Christine Rinawi for investigation.

They also seized a computer from the company.

Storming the Arab Health Center

The occupation forces raided the headquarters of the Arab Health Center in Sultan Suleiman Street in Jerusalem and confiscated some files and surveillance cameras.

They also arrested the director of the center, Ahmed Srour.
