Extending the arrest of two Jerusalemites and releasing three others
The Magistrate court extended on Sunday the arrest of two Jerusalemites and released three others. Mufeed Al-Hajj, Prisoner’s Club Lawyer, said that the Magistrate court judge extended the arrest of 17-year old Salameh Sami Shaker until Monday and 19-year old Tareq Salah Zarba until Tuesday. He added that the judge also released 15-year old Mohammad Abu Sneineh but the general prosecution requested to freeze the decision until appealing it in the District court which held a session on Sunday evening and refused the prosecution’s appeal and only changed the amount of the financial bail from 1000 to 1500 NIS. Al-Hajj then asked the judge to release the child and pay the bond on Monday because there was no secretary to change the amount and receive the payment, but the judge refused and therefore the child will be detained an extra day. Al-Hajj added that the Magistrate court judge released 14-year old Hussam Ghneim and 14-year Izzat Jamjoum with a third-party bail; note that they were arrested on Sunday early morning hours from their homes.
