A settler assaults the child Marah Jalajel

An Israeli settler assaulted 12-year old Marah Munther Jalajel while she was on her to way to school in the old city of Jerusalem. The girl’s father said that his daughter left the house which is located in the neighbourhood of Wadi Hilweh in Silwan and headed to school “Al-Aqsa Secondary School”. She always goes through Wadi Hilweh t-Dung Gate-Al-Sharaf neighbourhood onto Al-Silsileh Gate to reach her school. He added: “while she was walking in Al-Sharaf neighbourhood with her cousin, she passed near an Israeli settler and was then surprised when the settler kicked her in the back causing her to fall down. The settler then hit her on her back, head and stomach using his hands and legs and her cousin ran away and was able to tell one of the young men who was passing in the area who came and helped Dima while the settler ran away from the area.” The father explained that his daughter was injured with bruises and had filed a complaint against the settler in the police station, and through the surveillance cameras in the neighbourhood, the police were able to recognize the settler and arrest him. It is noteworthy that Wadi Hilweh Information Center monitored several assaults on citizens while walking in Al-Sharaf neighbourhood during last year including a woman and her daughter, two students and a young man. الطفلة مرح جلاجل
