Extending the arrest of six Jerusalemite prisoners among those released in the “Shalit” deal
June 27, 2014

The committee responsible for “releasing violations” decided to extend the delay of releasing the six Jerusalemite prisoners who were released in the “Shalit” deal until 13/07/2014. The head of Jerusalemites detainees and prisoners families committee, Amjad Abu Asab, explained that the releasing committee held a session last Thursday at the District court in Haifa regarding the prisoners, their lawyers and several locals. During the session, the lawyer appealed several decisions especially the legality of the committee and its validity. The committee responded by extending the arrest of the prisoners and postponed the session until 13/07/2014. The lawyer quickly appealed the decision in the District court in Haifa under the pretext of the illegality of arresting the six prisoners, and the court is supposed to consider the appeal on Monday the 30th of June, 2014. The prisoners are: Naser Abed Rabbo, Ala’ Eddin Bazian, Ismaeel Hijazi, Rajab Tahan, Adnan Maragha and Jamal Abu Saleh. Tags: Extension of arrest
