Arresting 12 Jerusalemites…and assaulting the Abbasi family members

The occupation forces carried out a series of arrest in Jerusalem during which locals and detainees were assaulted with beating and rubber bullets. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the occupation forces raided the house of Khalil Abbasi in the neighborhood of Ein Al-Lozeh in Silwan and assaulted the 61-year old Khalil Abbasi and his wife with pushing and beating. During the raid, the forces arrested the 16-year old Ali Abbasi and severely beat him in front of his family members. He was taken to the police car barefoot while bleeding. Abbasi family added that the forces fired a rubber bullet towards the 23-year old Mohammad Khalil Abbasi while he was in the living room and injured him in his leg. They also broke the restroom door when the 25-year old A’ed was inside; they also assaulted A’ed. Abbasi family pointed out that the forces raided their house along with police dogs that were deliberately used to terrify the family members especially the 12-year girl old Aya Abbasi. The forces completely surrounded the houses and were deployed in the outside courtyards and threatened to assault anybody who approaches the house of Khalil Abbasi. Arresting 10 young men from the village of Esawyeh The occupation forces carried out a series of arrests in the village of Esawyeh and arrested 10 Jerusalemites. Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the forces arrested Tamer Obeid, Younes Alayan, Karim Darwish, Ahmad Darwish, Rami Alayan, Sami Alayan, Mohammad Darwish, Anas Darwish, Ala’ Mustafa and the minor Yousef Alayan. The center was informed that the forces raided the house of Tamer Alayan after breaking the front door and assaulted the family members with beating; they also fired a rubber bullet inside the house. The forces also arrested the 16-year old Mohammad Wael Da’na from Silwan.
