The occupation transfers two Jerusalemite prisoners to administrative arrest
The Minister of “Israeli Army” issued on Sunday a decision to transfer the Jerusalemite prisoner Midhat Obeid to administrative arrest for 6 months. Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the Minster of Israeli Army decided to transfer Midhat Obeid to administrative arrest for 6 months; a session will be held at the District Court in Jerusalem within 48 hours to confirm the sentence or cancel it. Lawyer Mahmoud pointed out that Obeid was arrested last week and an administrative arrest order was issued against him. He was also arrested last year and was under administrative arrest. The occupation authorities impose administrative arrests against Palestinian prisoners when they no evidence against them or when no confessions can be extracted from them. The occupation authorities also transferred the Jerusalemite activist, Mohammad Shalabi, to administrative arrest; Shalabi was also arrested last week.
