Arresting 7 children…prison sentences…extension of arrest and releases
The occupation forces arrested on Monday early morning 7 minors from the village of Esawyeh, Old City of Jerusalem and Silwan. Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that the Israeli forces arrested three minors from the village of Esawyeh after raiding their homes. They are: Nasim Rabah Khaled Mheisen (15), Rami Naser Ismaeel Mheisen (17) and Nasim Amjad Mheisen (17). The lawyer added that the forces arrested 16-year old Ahmad Zaghal, 17-year old Darwish Yehya Darwish, 14-year old Ibrahim Julani and Mouath Shallodi. The forces also arrested the 21-year old Emran Shkeirat. Prison sentences The District and Magistrate judges sentenced three young Jerusalemite men for actual imprisonment. Lawyer Mahmoud explained that the District judge sentenced Sa’ed Keenyeh and Hamdi Jaber for 10 months of actual imprisonment and a suspended probation of 6 months for three years for each, and a 1500-NIS fine on Keenyeh and 500-NIS fine on Jaber. The Magistrate judge sentenced Ala’ Obeid for 6 and a half months of actual imprisonment, a suspended probation of 4 months for two years and a 2500-NIS fine. Extensions of arrest The judge extended the arrest of Hussam Alayan until 28/12/2015, Yazan Obeid until 9/12/2015, Mohammad Tufaha until 27/12/2015 and the child Mohammad Jarrah Naser until 21/12/2015. Lawyer Mahmoud added that the District judges extended the arrest of Mohammad Naser and Anas Abu Mayaleh until 07/12/2015 and Mohammad Naser Abu Ghannam until 20/12/2015. The District judge also extended the arrest of the children Saleh Shtayyeh, Mohammad Dayeh, Murad Alqam, Omar Yassin, Yazan Ayoub and Zein Tawil until 14/12/2015. The judge also extended the arrest of the child Mohammad Ammouri until completing the legal procedures against him. Extensions of arrest for sentencing The Magistrate and District judges extended the arrest of Odai Dari until 11/1/2016, Basel Shweiki until 8/2/2016, Amir Mahmoud until 22/2/2016 and Abdullah Siam until 24/12/2015 for sentencing. Releases The Magistrate judge decided to release Nour Eddin Obeid, Mohammad Obeid and Salameh Obeid with a 500-NIS bail, a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS and house-arrest for 5 days for each.
