The occupation arrests a young man after suffering an injury in the village of Esawyeh
The occupation forces arrested on Sunday 19-year old Mohammad Walid Obeid after he was injured during clashes that broke out in the village of Esawyeh.
Mohammad Abu Hummos, member of follow-up committee in the village of Esawyeh, explained that the occupation soldiers raided Abu Rayaleh neighborhood in the village which became a daily act to provoke the locals and initiate trouble. They raided a house for Abu Gharbieh family and were stationed on the balcony; they also attempted to raid Abu Hummos family home to ascend on its roof.
Abu Hummos added that clashes broke out in Abu Rayaleh neighborhood and reached Dari neighborhood in the village in which the occupation forces heavily used rubber bullets and tear-gas canisters. Mohammad Walid Obeid was injured by a bullet in his thigh and another young man was wounded; dozens others suffocated.
Abu Hummos explained that the soldiers assaulted Obeid despite his injury and dragged him while on the ground for some distance. He was then taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital. According to initial check-up, he was shot in the thigh and broke his foot; occupation forces forced his family members to leave the hospital.
On the other hand, the forces arrested 19-year old Abdulrahman Khaled Abbasi while he was heading home in the Middle Neighborhood in Silwan; he was assaulted and severely beaten.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that occupation soldiers were deployed in the Middle Neighborhood since the morning hours and ascended the roof of Atyeh Abu Sbeih’s house; they stopped young men and checked their IDs.
In the neighborhood of Wadi Hilweh in Silwan, occupation soldiers stopped a young man while riding his bicycle, checked his ID and assaulted him after he collided with a settler’s vehicle.
Locals explained that occupation Special Forces were deployed in the neighborhood of Wadi Hilweh after the collision and they assaulted young men and threatened to spray them with pepper gas; no action was taken against the settler.
