Sentencing a Jerusalemite child for actual imprisonment and a fine…extensions of arrest

The judge sentenced a Jerusalemite child for actual imprisonment and imposed a fine on his on charges of throwing stones towards settlers.

Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that the District judge sentenced Majd Sa’eedeh for 18 months of actual imprisonment, a suspended probation of 18 months for three years and a 2500-NIS fine in addition to 5-thousand NIS as compensation to the settler on charge of throwing stones towards settlers.

Extending the arrest of young men

Lawyer Mahmoud added that the judge extended the arrest of Rami Zahaykeh, Bara’ Abu Shnar and Salah Halseh until 20/3/2016, and Mohammad Za’tari until 22/3/2016 and scheduled a session for him on 11/4/2016 to read the indictment against him. The judge also extended the arrest of Subhi Abu Khalifeh until 29/3/2016, Murad Sarandah until 23/3/2016, Yousef Alayan and Ali Mheisen until 31/3/2016, Abed Abu Sneineh and Louai Abu Hummos until 22/3/2016, Abed Abu Syameh and Ahmad Mahmoud until 19/4/2016, Akram Mustafa and Salameh Obeid until 21/3/2016and Alawi Risheq until 20/3/2016.

Extending the arrest of minors

Lawyer Mahmoud also added that the judge extended the arrest of the children Ahmad Qawasmi and Tawfiq Othman until completing the legal procedures against them; Tamer Rabee’, Fathi Dweik and Mohammad Ghrouf until 19/4/2016; Eyad Shweiki until 28/3/2016 and Odai Halseh until 21/3/2016; an indictment was submitted against him to the Magistrate judge.

The judge also extended the arrest of Tarek Darwish until 22/3/2016, Yazan Abu Asab and Mo’men Mahmoud until 28/3/2016; note that the prosecution submitted an indictment against them that included charges of throwing stones.

An indictment was also submitted against the child Ibrahim Zghayyar regarding his posts on Facebook; he is under house-arrest and a session was scheduled for him on 23/3/2016.

The judge also extended the arrest of Mu’nes Idkeidek until 14/6/2016 for sentencing (he is under house-arrest) and scheduled a session for Mohammad Tufaha on 27/3/2016 for sentencing.

Lawyer Mahmoud added that the judge decided on Friday to release the 14-year old Mohammad Idris and 15-year old Isam Zalloum with a 5-thousand NIS bail, house-arrest for 5 days and a third-party bail for each. He also released on Thursday the 15-year old Mohammad Sayyad with a third-party bail; note that they were arrested from the neighborhood of Beit Hanina north of Jerusalem.
