Arrests from the Old City of Jerusalem and Silwan

The occupation forces arrested, late Thursday evening, 5 Jerusalemites, from the Old City and Silwan.

Old City of Jerusalem

Violent clashes broke out in the area of Bab al-Majles in the Old City of Jerusalem, and the occupation forces attacked the youths, boys and residents, and stormed several houses in the area.

Wadi Hilweh Information Center’s lawyer, Firas al-Jabrini, explained that the police arrested 4 Jerusalemites and transferred them for investigation to Al-Qishla police station, then released them at dawn.

Al-Jabrini, who was able to visit the detainees in the detention center, added that one of the detainees received medical treatment in the detention center after suffering various pains and bruises.

Thedetainees were: Abd al-Rahman al-Bashiti, Abd al-Fattah al-Halawani, Murad al-Tarhouni, and Abdullah Najib.

Eyewitnesses indicated that the occupation forces severely beat the detainees.

Silwan

Clashes broke out in Maragha neighborhood in Silwan, after altercations between settlers and youths in the area.

The occupation forces arrested Mohammad Abu Sneineh.
