Sentencing the boy Mohammad Abu Qteish for 15 years in prison

On Tuesday, the District Court judge issued an actual prison sentence against the wounded boy, Mohammad Abu Qteish, 16 years old, after he was convicted of stabbing a settler and causing him partial paralysis.

The lawyer of the Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the judge sentenced the boy, Mohammad Abu Qteish, to actual imprisonment for a period of 15 years, and to pay 258,000 shekels as "compensation for the injured settler", and a one-year suspended sentence.

The center pointed out that the boy, Muhammad Abu Qteish, was arrested on the 22nd of October last year, after he carried out a stabbing operation near the light rail station "near the French Hill settlement", and was hit by a bullet in the lung while he was being pursued inside the Sheikh Jarrah stadium. Nearly a week after the arrest and injury, the boy was transferred to prison and an indictment was presented to him.
