February 24, 2024

On the 141st day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", the occupation authorities continued to impose restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa, and set up checkpoints in the streets of Jerusalem.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center – Jerusalem explained that the occupation authorities continue to remain stationed at the gates of al-Aqsa, stopping those arriving to it and checking their identities, and randomly preventing entry to Al-Aqsa, especially young people, and the restrictions begin since the Dawn prayer until the evening prayer.

The Information Center explained that hundreds of worshipers from the Palestinian 1948 lands made their way to Al-Aqsa to pray there, and many of them, especially the young men under the age of 45, were prevented from entering, and forcibly removed from the gates of Al-Aqsa.

The forces also continued to impose restrictions on the number of participants in funerals at Al-Aqsa, in a procedure followed since last October 7th, where the forces prevent the relatives of the deceased from entering Al-Aqsa and allow a small number of no more than 10 people to enter to participate in carrying the body and praying over it.

The forces also continue to station themselves in the area of Damascus Gate in Jerusalem, and prohibit sitting in its courtyards and on the steps.

The forces also continued to set up mobile checkpoints in the towns and neighborhoods of Jerusalem.
