May 19, 2024

On the 226th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", dozens of settlers carried out their raids into Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the forces attacked a number of young men and prevented them from entering Al-Aqsa. They also continued to spread in the streets of the city of Jerusalem and set up police checkpoints.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem explained that the forces present at Lions Gate - one of the gates of Al-Aqsa - stopped a number of young men, took their ID cards, and prevented them from entering Al-Aqsa in conjunction with the Noon prayer. The officer refused to allow them to enter Al-Aqsa to perform the prayer and participate in the funeral of the Jerusalemite Saleh Al-A’war.

The young men explained that the forces forcibly removed them from Al-Ghazali Square and the vicinity of Lions Gate, attacked and pushed them and beat them with sticks, and forced them to leave the Old City.

On the other hand, 112 extremists stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, through the Dung Gate, the keys of which have been controlled by the occupation authorities since the occupation of Jerusalem.

The forces also continued to set up checkpoints in the streets of Jerusalem.

The Public Prosecution filed a “prosecutor’s permit” against a Jerusalemite girl from the village of Issawiya, to file an indictment against her, and the girl’s detention was extended until next Wednesday.
