Lawyer Al-Jabrini reveals: Erosion of prisoners' bodies due to an insect that appears in the area of skin disease
Lawyer Firas Al-Jabrini of the Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem, revealed that skin diseases in Israeli prisons lead to the erosion of prisoners' bodies, due to the lack of medical follow-up and necessary treatment at the time.
Lawyer Firas Al-Jabrini revealed that a Palestinian prisoner's knee “completely disappeared" after secreting an "insect" that feeds on the knee area, after a skin disease he contracted and has been suffering from for months, without any treatment being provided to him.
Lawyer Firas explained - quoting the prisoners - that skin diseases are spreading in prisons, and they are quickly transmitted between prisoners.
He added that the repression unit in Megiddo Prison stormed the prison sections yesterday, and threw gas and sound bombs into the rooms and sections, and "police dogs" attacked the prisoners.
As for the situation of the prisoners during the launching of rockets, they explained that the prison administration forces them to go out to covered outdoor yards to watch the explosion of the rockets, and does not transfer them to safe places.
The prisoners also explained to lawyer Firas Al-Jabrini that the repression in the prison is ongoing, and that last September the repression unit stormed Megiddo prison with heavy machine guns, and threatened to shoot the prisoners, and because of the severe beatings they were subjected to using "plastic shields and helmets", 15 prisoners were injured and their blood was spilled on the ground.
Lawyer Al-Jabrini explained - quoting the prisoners - that the living conditions in the prisons are very bad and difficult; due to the repeated storming of the prisons, sections and rooms, the lack of food provided to the prisoners and its unsuitability, the overcrowding of the rooms with prisoners, and the lack of clothing, blankets, pillows and beds, and the lack of any cleaning materials, whether "materials for personal hygiene or for cleaning the rooms".
