Day 424 Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
December 3, 2024

On the 424th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood” operation, a boy was shot dead by settlers' bullets in the town of Silwan, a family self-demolished their home in Issawiya, and settlers' raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque and forces' raids on towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem continued.

A young boy was martyred

The martyr Omar Shweiki, 15 years old, was killed by settlers' bullets in the town of Silwan.

Eyewitnesses said that the incident began when a vehicle belonging to settlers' guards stopped in the Ein Al-Lozeh neighborhood in the town of Silwan, and one of the guards fired 3 bullets. Minutes later, a police vehicle stormed the area, then a force was stationed on the mountain, and it was found that there was an injury at the site.

The witnesses added that the forces transported the injured person amidst a complete closure of the area, and no one was able to reach and know the nature of the injury or the identity of the injured person.

After the forces withdrew from the scene of the incident and transferred the injured person by ambulance, a force returned and stormed the mountain and conducted a search operation, then stormed several neighboring neighborhoods.

The police said in a statement that members of the Musta’ribeen (undercover police) opened fire after stones were thrown at a vehicle in the area, and the injured person was taken to hospital. Several hours later, a force from the intelligence and police stormed the home of Omar Shweiki's family in the Abbasyeh neighborhood in Silwan, and deployed in several areas, and informed the family that their son was injured in his legs, without informing them of the place of his transfer for treatment or the nature of the injury.

During the raid, the forces asked the family not to gather in front of the house.

Before midnight, the intelligence service summoned the father of the martyr Shweiki to the O’z police station in Jabal Al-Mukabber. Upon his arrival, the investigator informed him of the news of his son's martyrdom and the detention of the body pending an investigation into what happened.

The family explained that the police asked them not to gather and not to open a mourning house for their son.

Demolition in Issawiya

The occupation municipality forced the Abu Rayaleh family to self-demolish their home in Issawiya, under the pretext of building without a permit and the impossibility of issuing a building permit due to the lack of a "building line in the area."

The Abu Rayaleh family said that the family recently carried out a renovation of the old family home that had been in place since 1970 due to collapses in the walls and the urgent need for renovation, but during that time the municipality stormed the place and issued a demolition order and demanded that they implement it immediately.

Al-Aqsa

116 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque during the two incursions periods, through the Dung Gate, whose keys have been controlled by the occupation authorities since the occupation of Jerusalem.

Arrests

The forces arrested the two Jerusalemite brothers, Mouth and Abdul Rahman Totah, sons of Mohammad Totah, a member of the Legislative Council who was deported from Jerusalem.

It is noteworthy that the Minister of Interior in the occupation government decided to withdraw the "Israeli IDs" from the representatives Ahmed Attoun, Mohammad Abu Teir, and Mohammad Totah, and the former Minister of Jerusalem Affairs Khaled Abu Arafa, on the pretext of "disloyalty to the State of Israel", after their participation in the Legislative Council elections in 2006, and then they were all subjected to actual arrest and deportation from Jerusalem.

Raids

Raids on towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem continued, and checkpoints were set up in the city.

In addition, tax crews stormed the town of Silwan, raided commercial establishments and imposed various fines on them.
