Demolition of 4 residential apartments in Jabal Al-Mukabber
On Tuesday, the occupation municipality's bulldozers demolished 4 residential apartments belonging to the Halaseh family in the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber, south of the city of Jerusalem.
The occupation municipality crews, accompanied by police and special forces, stormed the "Deir al-Mishmesha" area in the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber, surrounded the Halaseh family's apartments, and then began the process of demolishing them.
The apartments are home to Ali Ibrahim Halaseh, Amin Ali Halaseh, Hamed Ibrahim Halaseh, and Mohammad Ali Halaseh, along with their families.
The apartments range in size from 60 square meters to 90 square meters, and are home to 21 individuals, most of whom are children. The buildings were built in 2009, and fines were imposed on the families.
The Halaseh family explained that the bulldozers carried out the demolition operation suddenly, before the deadline for implementing the self-demolition decision.
The family said: "Suddenly, the place was stormed and the demolition process was carried out, and rubble was placed around the furniture and contents of the apartments that we had emptied on Monday, and the municipality gave us 4 days to remove the rubble."
On Monday, the family emptied the contents of their residential apartments, to carry out the demolition process, before they were surprised by the demolition process being carried put by municipality’s bulldozers.
